Recent court decision means to Anstar a possibility to focus on growth and customer service

The Finnish Market Court has issued a decision in response to Anstar Oy’s application concerning expressions made by Peikko Group Oy and its CEO Topi Paananen. The court has prohibited Peikko Group Oy and its CEO, under the threat of a fine, from continuing the conduct specified in the decision. Anstar considers that the decision is significant, ands will strengthen the importance of fair competition in the construction industry.
On 27 March 2025, the Market Court issued a favorable decision for Anstar regarding the legal action it brought against Peikko Group Oy and its CEO concerning various public expression made in different contexts. The Market Court found that all expressions and images in question violated the Finnish Act on Unfair Business Practices. In its decision, the court prohibited both Peikko Group Oy and Topi Paananen, under the threat of a fine of EUR 100 ,000, from continuing or repeating the conduct specified in the decision.
