Anstar Oy 40 years
Lahti-based family business Anstar Oy turns 40 on 1 December 2021. Specialising in the sales and manufacture of concrete structure connections and composite beams, the company was founded in 1981 and has now been involved in the construction business for 40 years.

Over the decades, Anstar has grown into an international operator doing business around the world. High-quality domestic products sell well and Anstar’s products have already been exported to more than 30 countries. At Villähde in Lahti, the company designs and manufactures its own products and design software for its customers. Domestic production has been Anstar’s competitive advantage through the decades.
Anstar has brought many products and software applications to the market over the decades. The first hidden brackets, composite beams and software were all introduced around the turn of the millennium.
To celebrate the anniversary, we wanted to make a video about the company’s story, its cornerstones, its ideology – Anstar’s DNA. Founded by Kari Viljakainen in 1981, the company has trod a long and successful path to the present day, with Kari’s son Tero Viljakainen leading the company towards the next milestones.

Anstar Oy is a Lahti-based company specialising in the sale and manufacture of concrete structure connections and composite beams. It employs 70 people and had a turnover of €14 million in 2020.
Because of the current global situation, we are not celebrating our anniversary.
