ETA assessments as part of the international growth strategy
An ETA assessment (ETA 23/0172) has been carried out for Anstar's rebar couplers. Acceptance concern rebar coupler T16, T20, T25, T32 and T40. The assessment includes the static and dynamic tensile strength, fatigue resistance of the joint, and seismic load resistance of the T16, T20, and T25 rods. This is the first ETA-approved product we have.
"Getting the first ETA assessment is an important step for us. We have defined guidelines for international growth in our strategy, and ETA assessments support these guidelines. As part of our strategy, we are working on several ETA assessments, and we will provide more information on them when they are completed," says Tero Viljakainen.
ETA assessment is a voluntary experimental product approval method that ensures products meet building industry requirements to a higher quality level. ETA is more comprehensive than national approvals or certificates because it is valid throughout the EU.
