A-BEAM® plugin released in Tekla Warehouse
Anstar’s modelling tool for A-BEAM® composite beams is now available in Tekla Warehouse. The new plugin enables A-BEAM® beams to be modelled directly in the Tekla Structures environment.
The tool has been developed to make it easier to use composite beams in structural design and to make the modelling process more efficient. Feedback during the final stages of development was encouraging.
“We were aiming for good, but it turned out first-rate,” said Miska Auvinen from A-Insinöörit as the modelling tool was being finalised.
With the release, users can download the plugin directly from Tekla Warehouse and integrate it into their Tekla Structures design workflow.
Development continues towards model-based design
The release of the plugin is part of a broader development programme in which Anstar will gradually bring its design software into the Tekla Structures environment.
The goal is to enable composite beam design to be carried out directly within the structural designer’s building information model in the future, without the need to exchange separate files by email. This will streamline the design process and support closer collaboration between the different parties involved in a project.
Anstar has developed the software in collaboration with Miska Auvinen and his team at A-Insinöörit.
