Career path at Anstar is up to you and full of opportunities
The world is changing, the construction industry is changing – so people are changing too. At Anstar, development and career progression depend on you. Almost anything is possible; the most important thing is to find your own way to move forward in your career.
Skills can be developed quite freely. We have paid for various training courses that our employees have themselves suggested. We believe that training initiated by one's own motivation and initiative leads to progress – both for the individual and for Anstar as a company.
Long careers are a sign of something
There are many types of training. Everything starts, of course, from the needs of the company, and the training must always somehow relate to what makes Anstar better. But we also recognize that carried water does not stay in the well. The desire and interest to participate in training are, of course, very central. The common factor is development and, through that, increased job satisfaction. Training can relate to complementing and deepening one's expertise but also to changes in one's job description.
"One reason for long employment relationships is the opportunity to develop and make one's job description exactly what they want it to be."
We have numerous careers at Anstar that have lasted for decades. I believe that one reason for long employment relationships is the opportunity to develop and make one's job description exactly what one wants it to be. The feeling of being able to influence one's own work is certainly one of the most important motivational factors for any of us at work.
In addition to voluntary and self-initiated training, there are also other types of training. For example, quality control or occupational safety-related training is held continuously. We also regularly develop our management and supervisory skills through training.
There are many types of career paths
As I already mentioned, many have had very long careers at Anstar. People have climbed up to the supervisory level starting from the very bottom. There are examples where people have progressed from summer jobs to management positions as experience and skills have accumulated. We are proud of these long employment relationships in many ways.
Commitment always tells about satisfaction, motivation, and opportunities. We have invested heavily in these aspects throughout the company's history. In my opinion, Anstar has a very distinctive team spirit, which has led us to success so far and will continue to do so.
"Our door is always open to good professionals who recognize themselves from this text."
Team spirit, of course, also involves working together, not just in one's own job. In our well-being-at-work days, we focus on doing things together, for example, through sports. In addition to boosting team spirit, we have wanted to offer our staff benefits such as leisure-time insurance, sports and culture vouchers, and performance bonuses when goals are met.
The past has shown that building the Anstar culture on the aforementioned – proven to be sustainable – pillars has worked. And our door is always open to good professionals who recognize themselves from this text.
